We have been talking a lot about a person's perspective on history. As we begin our Historical Fiction Unit we will continue to ask this question about perspectives and their influence on how history is remembered.

1. What is the difference between personal history and collective history? Give one example for each one.
2. What is the purpose of schools teaching collective history to students?
3. Do you think Social Studies classes around the world teach the same material? Would you learn history the same way? Why or why not?
4. What is your PERSPECTIVE on this news story? What is your reaction to how this couple gets around?

1)The difference between personal history and collective history is when it is a personal history it is some thing that happen to your self and collective history is history that happen in the world qnd every body knows

1. personal history are things that happen to YOU specificlly, collective history are things that happen around the world, during times.

3.i hate social studies.i would like to learn social studies.by using the computer and by traveling around the world.
4.omg i cant belive that thats ure parents.okaii back to ure question.i think that.thats a good way to save money and its good because traveling around the town you could see new stuff.but is alittlebit bad because how about when is cold and how about you in the middle of a bridje with a bike and ure wheel pops or the wheel dosent go air how would they fix it.but i like how they have a bookbag with flashlights and stuff that they would need when they use their bikes.they only use buses,taxis and bikes,and when they go out of town they rent a car.hats a very good idea.it would make them stronger and healthier because the bike makes their legs and their body stronger

1.Personal History is when you have an expirence or a memory that can be a personal memory.

3.I think that social studies teaches more about history because they mainly conentrate on history and wars and all those events that had occured in the past.

3. no i actually think they dont maybe like 50% do teach the same thing. sometimes they tell the students things that arent even true.
no i think we wouldnt learn the same way because social studies is also taught in different lauguages.

4.omgggg first i cant beleive that ur parents that is so kool i wish i could my parent on the news,but i think that the way that they get around is cool just because they save so much money and they are so smart because they are rideing there bike to work and they are having a work out because they are using there legs to pedel...i think that i should talk to my father that way he could start getting around in a bike instead of riding a car!!!! = )
in some of the countries they don't teach the same materials because it depends what the culture the country has because if it was in china they would be talking about the history of china and how it got involved in wars.if it was in the dominican republic they would be talking about the dominican independence.
